Thiis is my finished oak mallet from a tree with a coat of danish oil. I wanted one that was bigger than my purchased mallet. The head is made from a piece of stump wood from a tree that was dying at my home. If you haven’t seen it already, you can read about the construction on this blog entry.

Nice, I love the mallet I made, I am sure you will too. Something about a stout mallet just feels right when striking the chisels. The give really good feedback. I like that you found the wood . Good story Enjoy!
