Pandemic Project #2 – Cut up a bunch of scraps into 3/4”x3/4’x6” pieces and glued up many into some different combinations. Ordered a 5.25” long 5/32” drill bit. Made a jig (photo 3) to hold blanks while drilling a 5” deep hole in each blank. Turned them on lathe and finished with Beal Buffing system. The ink cartridge from a Bic pen fits nicely. Need to buy another batch of Bic pens.

That’s quite a variety of pens! Nice jig for the drill press too.

Great project, jig and way to go with the use of the bic pins. I would have never though of that.
I don’t have a lathe but now I wish I did.

I can see you put a lot of though and work in the scrap wood glue up.
