Twin Tissue boxes for our twin 11 Y/O Granddaughters!

I made our twin granddaughters Pine and Sapele tissue boxes with their favorite animals showing through the hearts. The heavy paper inserts are removable so they can change them if they wish.
Chloe loves Owls and Courtney loves Unicorns.

I used 1/8” plastic pvc sign board cut to fit inside to hold the heavy paper inserts in place.
The finish spray on lacquer.

Hope you like it!

PS. No secret hiding place was used in this project!

What a great papaw you are Tony…those are pretty nice. Thinking they will like the colors most. Stay safe down there buddy.

I find the interchangeable inserts quite interesting. If they ever get tired of what’s inserted in the heart as they get older they can always change it. Maybe even change them for the different holidays. Very nice and girls always need tissues. Now you have more cutouts to make more boxes Tony. LOL.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments! I haven’t given our granddaughters the tissue boxes yet but I’ll be shipping them off soon.

Thanks Jim, I got the idea of “open heart’s” from the scraps left over from cutting out inlays.

Thanks Sandon, This is one of those (one thing led to another) and then cute showed up thankfully.

Thanks Buster, I was luck to find this colorful paper hiding under my printer! LOL! Built these without having to leave the house!

Thanks Jim, My wife gave me two thumbs up! Sweet it was!

Thanks Lee, I just wish I was delivering these myself because I know big hugs would happen I’m sure!

Thanks Pottz, “Tissue King” LOL! When I saw he posted and said “Tony” I said to my wife “Hey someone mentioned my name!” She laughed OUT LOUD!

Thanks Mel, I think contrasting wood makes things look so much better.

Thanks Rob, Hey Rob you can get mushy I won’t tell anyone… I promise! LOL! I willing to bet the kids will be pulling those card out and replacing them with something else! “boy friends”

Thanks Tony, It was a fun project!

Thanks Dave, See what I said to Rob? Those cards are going by by and replaced with boy friends LOL! But I like your idea about the holidays. Each red plastic insert is cut to fit snug so they custom fit so they don’t fall out. I had to number them so they get put back in the same order because each one is just a weeeeee bit different.

Thanks Doug, BB gun! LOL! Your too funny!

Potts do you now what Rob means here when he said “Pity corelz25 wasn’t so secretive !” ????

I hope everyone is doing what it takes to stay safe.

Hi Tony,
They are beautiful, I’m sure the girls will love them.
Best part is they can change the images if they want, great idea.
