This is a walnut live edge coffee table I built in December 2019. The under carriage is built like the staked furniture in Christopher Schwarz Anarchist Design book (highly recommended).

Thanks for looking,

Luis

Well that’s gorgeous. That walnut has an incredible amount of figure. I really appreciate the photos showing the various stages of production. I am impressed with the dovetail method for attaching the leg structure to the table top, it’s both robust and beautiful. Your family must be excieted to use it.

Table top is really nice BUT your leg system is great

Gotta ask – you did glue the dovetail in place right ?

No, I didn’t glue them. I drilled a hole on the underside of the top and tapped it for a 3/8” machine screw. I did the same with the shelf. This way I can take it apart and flat pack it if I ever move.

Wow. Nice joinery design and execution. Well done. I like the proportions a lot.
