Walnut serving tray

I made this walnut dipping tray for mom a few months. It was primarily made with a router two bearing bits. I used a pattern bit to hog out the majority of the material and a bowel / tray bit to finish up. A little sanding and some mineral oil as a finish and it was complete.

Looks like a nice process you used. Did you make that template in pieces or is it all a single unit?

I can see how doing it in pieces would be much simpler, then you just make a working template from the pieced together template or ensure your spokes are well connected 8^)

I bet your router had a work out!

@splintergroup You’re absolutely correct. I made the template in pieces. I used polyurethane construction to glue it together. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t hold up but it was more than strong enough.
