I admit that I have a problem. I was so busy for a while I bought new blades instead of sharpening. I love blades that tend to be at the high end quality and, unfortunately, price. I had them all stacked in a drawer which is no way to treat a carbide tipped blade. I needed storage for about 40 blades as well as dados and box joint cutters. I used all of that drawer scrap 1/4 inch melamine for the drawers, maple fronts and 3/4” oak case. I drilled holes in the drawer bottom and dowelled the center, and put a finger hole to make it easier to pick up the blade. The fronts are 7/16” wide so I had to get creative for the pulls. I used letter block beads for drawer handles and double duty for me to create a blade list with sharpening dates.

That’s cool but crazy. I have like six blades for my tablesaw. Nice solution for what you’re doing.

Great idea. Mine hang on peg board hooks. Easy to see and sort by size.

I have a similar set up for my TS with the mobile base. It seems a shame not to use the space under the table for storage like you did. One of these days the under table storage will make it to the top of my to-do list.

I’d love to browse your blade library.

Maybe soon you will need a library index card cabinet to assist with the record keeping.
