Little bench I made for the wife for her apartment. I used the rockler beadlock for the base. Its finished with 4 coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal. 1st time using Ash and the Arm-R-Seal and loved using both. Waiting for my Wife to pick the drawer pulls.

? My Wife is at home, the Girlfriend’s stays at the Apartment and the other house. The Cherry looks real nice.

Bet most younger members don’t know what a telephone bench was. Good looking piece of furniture.

Great looking bench,
Yes I agree, Ash is good it seems to be a little underestimated.
Nice work.

Nice work – I love ash.
What is a telephone bench? Is that where you put the wife when she has been too long on the phone… Or the place where people throw their phones when entering the house, so you will have peace?

They were originally used for a place to sit while talking on the house phone before cordless phones became a thing. For this application it will be a place to throw stuff as you walk in the door and someplace to put your shoes on.
