for my new desk. says my wife. She bought the desk and I assembled it a few months ago. Then she brought home all of her boxes from her old office and is now going to work from home, sort of.

That being said there was not enough room on the the old filing cabinet to just stack piles of stuff, so she wanted a bookshelf. All from Pine (as usual) the bottom takes up the whole top of the filing cabinet and we hope to pick up a small printer to go there. All in all fits the need quite well.

Now on to the other 7 or 8 projects I am in the middle of.

Nice one Chris. Looks like just what you needed, or your Wife. I like your use of rulers for spacing.

Nice. I like that the lack of depth does not overpower the book the way some bookshelves do.

Thanks Guys.
Jeff, The rulers were a thought as I just cleaned up the shop and found 12 or packs of those cheap rulers. I cut a few down to 8” as well and going to put them aside for later projects.

Swirt, I measured her largest book and wanted to make sure there was not a ton of extra useless shelf space.

That is a good idea for a shallow bookcase. I know what you mean when I see books buried in the back. Nice job.
