I was approached by the rabbi that married my wife and I and performed the naming ceremony for both my children to make a coffee table with red epoxy, walnut, and a double waterfall. I was lucky enough to find a Black Friday deal on Superclear liquid glass epoxy and was able to use that for the pour, since I couldn’t really charge him what this was really worth.
I used Rubio Monocoat Pure plus 2C for the finish. There was a lot of work going into this but I’m pretty happy with how it came out. Here’s a link to a little “making of” video I did: https://www.facebook.com/NewmanSpecialswoodworking/videos/1059729841071820/?vh=e&d=n

I don’t think any of these pictures are very good, but they show the basic beauty of the piece.

I wish I had half your talent, patience and room in the shop. Wait, I do have half the room. In that case I wish I had your talent and patience.

Yah awesome choice of color and putting the sapwood adjacent to the epoxy. It has a cool glow effect. Super sharp work on the waterfall joints.

I added to favorites. Well done. I have been meaning to build that table (similar) for our entry. I will check out the video. I don’t see a cross brace. That is exactly how I’m thinking of building one.
