I made this table for my grandkids for Christmas. The top has a chess/checker board on one side and Lego plates on the other. 4 drawers for storage and the chess/checker board top is epoxy coated for durability. The wood used is Cherry and Walnut for the table and drawer fronts. The chess/checker board is Padauk and Walnut with a Purple Heart border. The table is ~32” square and 24” high.

What a splendid gift! That should keep them away from the mindless video games, etc.

Thanks Bob, they have been enjoying it. After getting another 3000+ lego pieces for Christmas, they had a wall around the table and various structures inside.
