Pistol cleaning box

This is a box I made for a policeman friend. He is required to carry a handgun at all times so I constructed this to replace an old beat up tackle box he currently uses. It is made from spalted maple, oak, pecan and some black walnut accents. I hope he likes it.

Well dressed up!

Looks like it’ll hold a bunch of accessories. Are the logos decals or did you burn them in?

The logos were Cnc carved. There is a drop in utility tray and pistol holder. Maybe I went a little overboard on the carving. Anyway it was fun to make.

There are 2 things i really like about this design. #1 How the box joints only go half way down the sides, interesting look. #2 How you hinged the top with 2 doors. Very nice work!
