Sauna door

New door for the sauna. The old one was hanging in there by a thread: the joints had given away, and the glass was loose in its place. The door was so out of shape, that it was a miracle it didnt fail altogether.

I posted also a blog of how I made this. Contrary to common (or at least my) belief, making a simple door is surprisingly hard!

End result seems to be sturdy, which was the main objective. From a far (and to everybody else than the maker) it looks good as well. I could point out a couple of mistakes (mostly not related to ”woodworking”, but silicone-sealing the glass), but lets be merciful? The old factory made had a lot bigger mistakes, and they didn’t bother me (maybe because they were not mine).

The material is heat treated aspen, as that is also the material for the paneling and the seats in the sauna.
