I wanted to test drive my new Carter Stabilizer guide with a 1/8” blade on my Laguna 14BX bandsaw so I glued up some cherry and drew out a reduced sized box. Ever since upgrading to the larger bandsaw I’ve been frustrated trying to do detail work with the larger saw. I did buy the Laguna mini-guides and got better results (less broken blades) but still had difficulty. My son gave me this Carter guide for Christmas and as you can see I’m able to do some fairly detailed cuts with it. I’m calling it a ring box but realistically the drawers are so small it might only fit a couple small stud earrings…..I’m working on another larger project (wine racks) using this guide and a 1/4” blade – I’ll post those photos when finished in a couple days.

Pretty cool box Phil.
I like the design and the small size even if its too small for rings.
It turned out great.

that looks great – too small for my clumsy hands.
