I wanted to make a small table for my living room, and started to play with the design. i look through pictures online
and look at different design elements. i never draw plans, usually keep everything in my head, which can be a bad thing. I go to get the wood, and at that point is when things come together. this table has a Cherry top and legs, and the side aprons are Birdseye Maple. The legs are attached with bridle joints with the aprons coming thru the outside.
The center support is attached to the inside of the aprons with sliding dovetails. I finished it with clear shellac. and satin water based poly. This was a fun project to build!

Great looking table. I give you a lot of credit on the style of legs you make. Nice work.

I really like it…......so much so that it is in my “favorites”
Well done.

Sweet little table. Particularly like the joinery combo.

I like the way you work, Rich, by having your design in your mind and then just making it work.
This a great table with the floating top and the curved legs.
Nice thru-tenons too. Beautiful work.

Ah, very nice! I like how the top appears to float over the legs…elegant and sophisticated? Also, the yellow feet adds a nice visual effect too!

Rich nice table, and I too like the wood combo. I also work the same way. Mostly notes in a note book then go to work. Congrats on DT3

I like what you did with the long stretchers. Well designed and executed.

Looks great, I like those 2 woods together. Will look even better as teh cherry darkens. I have those same yellow “feet”, just don’t drop them on the garage floor and go out in the dark garage at night barefoot. They are worse than legos!

It looks a lot like a Matt Downer design—and that’s a high compliment in my book!
