Project Information

My wife and I love the primitive style furniture and accent decor to display around our home. These simple foot stools can be knocked out in no time.

All three are made out of common pine boards. Matter of fact I used up the scrap wood I had laying around. As you can see each stool is a different size and they are stacked on top of each other.

I painted each stool with several coats acrylic paints. Used white, black first then yellow, red and blue. After sanding the distressed look I added a coat of Johnson paste wax. That gave it a bit of a gloss look.

If interested to make your own, I will give you the dimensions and a better description of how I made it.

Reminds me of the step stools my Grandfather made us forty-some years ago. He added a dowel underneath (between the legs) as a carrying handle. I still have mine.
