I seem to like making stools ay the moment. Here is one from a lovely ‘Box’ Burl.

its a nice looking stool. How are the legs fastened and is that a seam or crack in the last pic.?? Also what wood species

Wood is ‘Box Burl’ a Eucalypt. https://www.australianwoodwork.com.au/blogs/news/australian-eucalyptus-burls-what-exactly-is-a-burl

Legs are hand morticed in to the top, and sadly that is a join line showing as it was pretty difficult to get the two pieces of burl to match up. I think it would have made a mess if I tried to do anything with it.

The glue up, messy but I wanted to be sure it would hold.
