For my youngest nephews this past Christmas I wanted to make this set of blocks that I had seen in the book “Making Toys that Teach” Most of them were done from scraps witch made this a lot more involved than just buying the stock outright, but it was a fun project the the boys loved.

It is very rewarding! I can certainly remember enjoying the blocks my grandfather made for my sisters and me. Now I know how it made him feel.
