HI Guys, been awhile since I posted, been a busy year I reckon.
After 4 years of it looking at me I couldn’t resist the temptation any longer to retrofit this dragon themed box into a super amazing puzzle box conversion!
There are 93 moves to find the very real silver coin in this sequential discovery puzzle! All the tools needed are included and found along the way.
I would love to show you all the pics of the build, but that’s kinda top secret.
I can say that there are 9 working gears, 8 keys, riddles, semi-precious gemstones, codes and clues. There are two sets of steps that have three drawers each, all locked by different means. Under the box there are two chambers to go through.
Many years ago an old neighbor gentleman gave me a baggie of diamonds that he had pulled off of old jewelry for decades, so it seemed appropriate to include at least 32 diamonds inlaid in various places on the exterior and interior of the puzzle. It is most likely that crazy gluing them in destroyed their value, but not their glitter.
To add to the experience, a cool leather bound journal with a Dragon embossed into it along with a hunky piece of Tiger Eye adorning the cover. Inside the Journal is the introduction, the ‘story’, the solution and some builder notes. The solution and builder notes are sealed from the rest of the book. There is also room for notes by the owner(s) over the generations. Yes, I got that from watching Antiques Road Show, lol!
Anyway, if ya wanna check out a short intro video on you tube, click the link!
