In early December a local man asked me for an urn for his wife and I happened to have one that I had made earlier. He said that the price that I asked was about 75% below what the funeral home asked. A few days after the funeral he phoned and asked if I had or could make another one. When I inquired how quickly he would need it he said there was no hurry as it was going to be for him. Compliments like this are worth more than any amount of money.

Nice, have seriously considered building one for myself after seeing the cost of the one for my Dad!

That’s a very nice looking urn!
Same here! I would like to build my coffin and my urn. But here in Germany, they don’t make it easy. They have a lot of restrictions and arguments, but there is just one reason – money!

It’s exactly the same thing here in Canada Muesli. there are no real legal reasons why people can’t use a service other than a funeral home but they have been led to believe that these restrictions exist.
