The first piece completed in 2020. Felt good to be able to start again in the shed after the festive break. I just needed something simple to start the year.

Hollow form from spalted walnut. Quite punky in places but managed to stabilise. Decided to add a lid and final. I think it could be displayed with or without top. 6 1/2” diameter and 8 1/2” tall

I saw a sign next to something like this at a store once.

“Beautiful to look at, delightful to hold

But if you should break it, consider it sold”

Very nice piece of work.

I really love this piece with the unusual swirly wood grain and I think the lid really is a wonderful finishing touch to this turning. Great work!

Another beautiful piece Derek.
I missed it the first time around but it is gorgeous.
Love the pull on the finial.
