My Jet Mini Lathe is just not long enough for the billy clubs that I’m turning. So I fashioned this extension from scrap oak and plywood.

Is there some spike in the demand for billy clubs that I have missed?

Nice simple version for a lathe extension. I did one a few years ago. They work when you need it.

Nice, no permanent changes to your tools and it looks effective!

Thanks everyone. The only problem with it is that it doesn’t seem like the top plywood pieces hold the tailstock as well as the steel on the lathe. The plywood tends to compress a little when the tailstock is locked down.

There is a spike in billy club demand in my shop – temporarily – until I run out of stock.
