Had a pile of Ash scraps. Ripped and resawn into thin stock. Larger box used finger joints , smaller box used through dovetails. 6” combo square for scale on the smaller box.

Hardware from Hobby Lobby. Dividers are also Ash…

Stain is called “Gunstock” , by Minwax. 3 coats of Amber Shellac.
saves throwing all the scraps out onto the burn pile.
larger box is about 11” by 6-1/2”, about 3” tall…not counting the Ball feet.
Lid on the larger box is standing open a bit…

Letting the inside “air out” a bit…

Like the lid with the finger pull on the front edge That hardware on the other box looks great too. May have to check out what my local Hobby Lobby has available. Neat way to change the look of a box.

my scrap wood never ends up looking that good, maybe I’m stacking it wrong ?

Very nice!
Bandit I can only hope to have your ability one day to look at a piece of wood in a pile and say “that would make a nice box”
