Boys and Girls,

Do you believe in fate… or just plastic surgery?

I believe that our destiny is predetermined before we take our first waddle after hatching. Who would have thought 71 years ago, that the colour teal, which is a species of a magnificent duck,

would have been used as a colour scheme in the barbeque area of my future Churchill residence.

When I moved in over 10 years ago, I was bedazzled by the teal colour of the cupboards in my BBQ area…

Nothing against the previous residents, however, the BBQ had a thicker build-up of grease than the concrete slab it was sitting on. I decided to replace the BBQ as it was easier than cleaning it, even though I had to re-weld the metal frame housing it,

During the upgrade, I was fortunate to have some friends visiting, of which the better half was not computer oriented and while the hubby and I got all techo, she offered to paint the teal to primrose, which all the slack bones in my body concurred with…

I still abhor the fact that I didn’t take more pictures of the lass… (the painting of course) and finally finished up with a spicky BBQ,

Then I bought a Rotex (eat your heart out pottzy) and the gallery pictures are the result of the sanding (only) aftermath (using Abranet… your other heart rc).
Finished with 5 coats of Min-Wax wipe on poly after woodfilling the gaps.

This project has been festering in my brain for a while since I bought the Rotex about 12 months ago, but my brain is now too damaged to harbour any more fester…

Why all these recent posts?.... The missus has wiped the combination of the workshop from my brain due to health hazard that could eventuate from my Christmas and New Year festivities… but I still remember my PC password as it is carved into my desktop… and she doesn’t have access to my Rotex to sand it out!

rc... NO questions about lead lights! If you didn’t notice them, you will now… but, still NO questions!
Sinking fragile topic with me!

Thanks maj... it’s a great place to let my red vino warm up after taking it out of the fridge.

Unfortunately it’s been screwed up by bureaucracy… must have fence…

and I can’t even use plastic bags to put my prawn shells in… just kidding, I only take a small bite and let them keep swimming… for longevity, anyone know of a chloroform resistant prawn species?

Hey LBD a very nice project glad to see you put in Max effort on the build/paint.

I assume you are referring to the glass louvers?

BTW why is there a garden trolley parked there

Top Job!

At first glance I wondered who was so dedicated to cookery that they shunned a typical oven in their kitchen and instead opted for a BBQ 8^)

Nice duck! (and nice work Duck!)

Well technically a warehouse robot could be modified to haul a vino cask. The tricky part is modifying it to both haul vino casks and mow the lawn for you. Then you have more time to sit on the patio drinking the vino while the robot mows and can go fetch more.

Duck – I think you need a DRONE!!!!! This looks like the perfect place for one to do your domestic bidding. Just think, it could be used to pick up and deliver any number of things for you, all from the comfort of your chair, or your home version of a baptismal font (hot tub).

Really nice Kitchen Duck.

The duck is a Green Wing Teal, both here, and there, which kind of surprised me.

You turning into a duck GR8?... developed a hate for reading??... rather oculate moments in motion than in the word???

... technically a warehouse robot…

As long as the bucket of bolts was a teetotaler... I don’t share… my vino!

Lucky the missus doesn’t read this… OOPS, took a while to notice the missing “C”.
Hell teal or white… this duck eyes will both be defenitely black.

With the lid down, I can hide 18×2L casks of vino… try fitting that in an oven!!

wow finally we get to see the ducks lair, sorta like the grinch i guess,i was always curious but never dared let my imagination conjur up what it might be like.well it’s very hollywood like as i would expect.i did think we’d see wine barrels stacked up on one wall, like the barrel room of a winery,so a little disappointment their.sure be nice if your good friends got an invite to throw some shrimp on the barbie, after it drops below 100 degrees, at night!!!

Phew pottzy I had to use 1/2 tube of Dencorub on my fingers to retort to your rc impersonation inquisition.

Ducks don’t lair... they nest. The Grinches were the previous owners and I had to degrade their blatant humanitarian influence.

Wine barrels were what I used, that rc initial trolley challenged… then it got difficult to stockpile/stack 18 barrels…

You most certainly (and any other LJ’s) have an open invitation to this Churchill residence (I live next door… just gagging… or is it gagged)... bring your own net to fish the shrimps out of the spa tub… the password key to the combination lock is your mobile number… OK, cell for the Yankee prisoners! (hmm! workshop tip #latest+1 brewing... hmm, maybe wrong choice of words).
Seriously, for a gangly old duck, I don’t fly, however, anyone in the vicinity of Melbourne (Victoria, Australia, MY Earth) is more than welcome and help themselves to all my useless, redundant tools that I was too stupid to purchase without warning… Churchill is 160K SE from Melbourne, as those disidant ratbag crows fly… sorry crowie but some of you distant namesakes are really dark!
