Wall hanging bar

This was a 20th anniversary gift for my brother and sister-in-law. Their house is made with exposed reclaimed barn lumber beams. I couldn’t find the right match of wood so I used knotty alder and distressed it and applied very stains and finishes until it matched the look of their old barn beams. The front comes down to create a bar surface for pouring drinks and the glass front cabinet has racks for wine glasses. The top left small cabinet flips up and stores shot glasses and tumblers. The main body is for liquor storage and the bottom left and top compartments are for wine. There’s a large drawer that is for storing the various utensils one would use in a bar. I ordered some of the hardware from some online vintage sites, I also picked up some when I visited Norm Abram’s favorite place Old Sturbridge Village. The alder is roughly 3/4 inch and is laminated over a 3/4 inch plywood frame, so it’s very sturdy. There’s a French cleat that runs along the entire length on the back that is used to hang it on the wall.
