Crokinole is a game like Carrom where you shoot discs across the board to score. It is popular in the central prairie provinces of Canada.

This was my first woodworking project in 2013. I came across the Hilinski brothers website where they sold their handmade boards but also taught you how to make your own using their perfected method. I bought my first dedicated woodworking tool, a router and got to work. I can’t find their plans anymore but the method is described on

A 4×4’ sheet of 1/2” baltic birch makes two boards with minimal waste. The playing surface requires many coats of polyurethane, 10 plus to make the discs really sing. The discs are available through Lee Valley and other online sites.

I made one of these as a LJs project a few months ago, I went with the octagon base to avoid dealing with the bending.
Yours turned out great!
