This is a plant press that I made for my Granddaughter a year ago. She was not too interested in using it because of school and other things related to school, so I will be using it for a while.
I tried to keep the design in the spirit of the Dawin era.
I think that I will cut the studs shorter as I have no need for the capacity that this thing can handle.
I use some left over countertops for the plates, and wood screws, nuts and washers made by me.
Thanks for looking.

Very cool piece!
Pressed plants are a great subject and your press is a cool tool. Your granddaughter will grow into it especially if you use it to press a few examples and gift her with them. Framed pressed plants are great.
It looks very functional and the shorter posts will be more effective.
I like it!

This seems like a good idea, not just for pressing plants, but for gluing, etc. too.
