Hey Lumberjocks,
Can anyone tell me what species of wood this is? This burl was a gift from a friend years ago. I did a lot of re-sawing and sanding to get to this point. The finish is BLO followed by several coats of wipe on poly. Truly God’s artwork.

i would say maple burl i have a few chunks and it looks very you know where he got it from?
this is a end table,the burl is about 24” in diameter.

You may have better lluck identifying the wood from the bit of non-burled wood at the lower right of the first photo. I would also guess maple.
