My parents are coming to visit us during the christmas.
Before they have used our youngest room, but now she have got a bunk bed, so there is no place to put two mature people.
We did have madresses already, so I decided to build a guest bed that feels like a real bed, and at the same time may be stacked away when not in use.
There is a support beam in the middel of the bed that is not visible at the pictures (should have taken one before adding madresses).
May add another picture when I disassemble it after the holiday!

I’m sure they will appreciate not having to sleep in a bunk bed! Please do repost later with the construction – interested in how you linked the posts to the support under the mattresses.

During the christmas holiday the bed has been going trough a decent test periode – beeing used by both old and young people, and it has worked as a charm and according to all intentions.
It has now been dissasambled and stacked away. That was a fast and easy task that was completed in a manner of minutes.
Everything except the bed bottoms is made from rough wood. The bed bottoms was sold at Ikea for 20usd – beeing close to christmas I decided to just buy them and save me a lot of time.
