Amazing, I usually turn them in one piece mostly from Cedar for potted plants and a few in the yard, love the different woods.

What a cool idea and a great way to use some smallish exotic cutoffs which I always have a problem throwing away. I could see them mounted on the side of a small log as well to sort of simulate a rotting log. You could even turn a disk and cut it in half to simulate a conk. All kinds of possibilities. This one is going in my favorites for future inspiration.

Beautiful! The base itself is a work of art (what kind of wood is that?) Very creative, reminds me of the movie Fantasia. Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays!
