Every year, my son and I have a contest about who can catch the most fish. Although he’s a teenager, he is an excellent fisherman, the tournament has always been just for bragging rights but I thought I would make him a trophy that we could add the name and how big victory was each year. I made it form for Christmas.

The trophy itself is very simple it’s just a pine box and the trophy head I made is just pine that I turned on A lathe. I tried to make it look like a hula popper Lure. And yes, I did file down the hook so it won’t catch anything, like fingers

Everything is pine.

Measurements:
21 inches wide, 22 inches tall, and 9 inches deep.

My wife is a little upset at how big it is, she asked me where I was going to put that “ridiculous thing “

I told her it would fit on top of his shelf, but I actually want to put it on our mantle over the fireplace, But I know I’m not gonna win that fight.

Looks fine.

Now you will have to start making your own lures too

Very nice.

If you are using your phone in a vertical position to photograph they will turn always turn out sideways, even after editing. However, if you turn it in ‘photo edit’ and then take a screen shot and drag the screen shot to your photo album, it will post correctly when you select that image for your post. This is especially handy when you have an old photo that you can’t retake it the correct way.
