I have been working on Christmas (2019) gifts again. This year I decided to make family members salt and pepper shakers. I got the idea for these from Jay and He had a great video and a one page plan that you could down load. Thanks Jay. I used a variety of woods. A lot of maple and walnut but also some cherry, African mahogany, paduck, red oak, babinga and even some wenge. Most were scraps from other projects but I did buy some of the more unusual variety so as to have different shakers to give out. The one thing that I added to Jay’s idea was the base for each set. I matched the woods in the base to those in the shakers. The shakers are 2×2x4 while the bases are 3×7 and 1/2 inch thick. All the best.
