I found this old tool cart and since I needed one I decided to load it up and see if I could fix it up. After I sanded it down and printed it and painted it and the drawers, I decided that I definitely needed a lid for it. Wwl I need a workbench to so I took a 1×6 and stripped it down into 3rds then after I had enough to cover the top of the cart I put 4 of them together using wood glue and clamps and screws. Then I took those 5 sections and glued those together to clamped them overnight. After sanding and putting on hinges I put it on the cart.

Looks like a good mix of practicality and care. What kind of hinges did you use? Im guessing they have to be pretty robust.
