Made a bunch of log cabins as gifts for friends and family for Christmas which are an item that they had ask for as I would not part with the one I made about 35 years ago .
This is an item that I made a hundred or more of back then and they sold like crazy .
The material I used came from a hemlock railing post and I used a 3 wing cutter on the table saw (pic#5).
That old CRAFTSMAN set still comes in handy .The parts are all cut on the miter saw and the roof is just plywood scraps and some resawn yellow cedar and a chimney made from MDF .

A fun little project and a good morning in the shop .

Well now I wish all of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year *and good health !

Klaus / Kiefer

Nice cabins. Love the pyramid in the background also.

They are very nice. I think the trees make the cabins special.

The trees are a special item for me and I got the pattern for these from LJ Buddy John Schutz along with a set of four and I have made many sets since The trees that look like they have snow on them I made from butter milk pine from a local saw mill .

You should get in touch with John and I am sure he will send you a set of patterns and instructions .

I agree with the others. I really like the log cabins but love the look of the trees.

Those look great. I recently inherited my fathers old woodworking tools and there was a old craftsman cutter set, like yours. Now I know what I’ll be making in the shop Monday for a few folks that I couldn’t come up with just the right gift. Thanks! Great job on those buddy and Merry Christmas

Different boxes. You always have woodworking thoughts and contributions that encourages others. I have put this one in my favorites.

BTW: Your mallet is moved to the new shop, and will be also here used a lot.
