Just finished two symmetric wine racks with drawers. The tabletops are 7/4 birch, the body, drawers and racks are 1/2” and 3/4” birch plywood. The finish is Old Masters espresso gel stain, with topcoat of three layers of Arm-R-Seal wipe-on polyurethane.

Total capacity (racks+larger drawers) of two is 76 bottles. These are the first pieces of furniture I built that I couldn’t move around by my own – they are so heavy when assembled!

Very nice project.

Beautiful work.

Strapping things to a good hand truck can make them easier to move around by yourself too.

If you live in the western part of Washington; along the I-5 corridor within 150 miles you can find enough wineries to use only one bottle from each and OVERFILL the cabinets too.
