This walnut jewelry box is a gift for my mother who has been asking for a pretty box to keep stuff in for a while now. This was a fun build made from a 8” live edge board ive had laying around for a while that was about 3/4 and planed down to 5/8. Still not sure about making dividers inside. The plans for this were altered slightly from and old Woodworkers Journal article.

Wonderful!. Someone tell how you can ever go wrong using Black Walnut. Your Jewelry box design is a very elegant, clean and modern design wonderfully executed.

Nice clean looking box. I like the hinges, knobs and feet against the walnut and I’m guessing that’s black flocking…great choices!

Wrap around grain is sweet.
Nice lines and a great box.

Great box, I too like the wrap around incorporating the drawer front. Check out the Rockler Cross Lap jig for dividers. You can make your own if you like.

The beauty of the wood stands on its own. A simple well made execution is all you need.

Nice job. You can never go wrong with walnut jewelry boxes. Like your drawer – looks like a nice tight fit.
