I made a Rustic DIY Wooden Kitchen Sign using a quote that my wife found on Pinterest. Lately I’ve been experimenting with different techniques of making wood look rustic or farmhouse style. For this project I used an old skill saw blade on a drill to make a rough cut appearance on the wood. Then I used stain and white paint for the finish. I love how it turned out.

The method I used to stain and paint the wood could be applied to any furniture project. Leave a comment below if you have your own method of making wood look rustic. Also find the free plans at TheDIYPlan.

My wife would love that sign. Maybe if I show it to her I can get some shop time in.
