Hi guys, this is my 2nd post on lumberjocks and sorry for my English :D

My dad requested me to make him a dining table made out of 2 teak slabs as the top because I’ve already made 3 benches out of teak, but still missing the table.

At first I thought, “Ok, I can do it but first I need more ideas”. I looked for the idea how to joint 2 slabs together, which technique I would use, joinery etc. Many hours I’ve spent on research and finally I decided to make a double ‘W’ pattern (upside down) made out of mahogany and pine, a bunch of butterfly keys, dovetails stretcher, tusk tenon wedge, etc. And working with non square materials is kinda tricky because I must make a perpendicular 90° legs, thankfully I’ve tackled the problem. The dimension is 240cm x 80cm x 75cm (L x W x H).

Thank you guys for viewing, please feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
Cheers..

Let me be first to say, that is a beautiful rustic table. The “W”s detail is awesome, and I love that butterfly too.

It must weigh a ton.

That is a great looking set and your joinery is interesting and well done. Some of the tricks you used really make this piece stand out. Nice job.
