I’d just be worried that once you are smacking something, what ever you are smacking would act like a Froe, and just split them along grain lines. Maybe not, time will tell. Looks like a mixture of wood species, any idea what you have there?

Very nice Ralbuck. There were a lot of gorgeous mallets from the swap but, I’d be willing to bet your’s all work the same way and just as good ;-)
