My seven year old daughter wanted a shelf for her “precious things” and I just bought a Dewalt jigsaw, so out popped this country shelf. Wish I had a spindle sander. It’s 24×5”. It’s pine and not finished as she wants to paint it pink, white and purple. I am tempted to post her finished product, but for now I’ll just stick with my end of the deal.
Update: A couple of Jocks wanted to see the finished project. Here it is.

That is great, especially only using a jig saw. I’m a fan of the country look. I look forward to seeing what your daughter does with it. If you’re on a tight budget just get a coulple of sanding drums for your drill or dp. I made do that way for a couple of years.
