I build this Step Stool for Kids using scrap wood that was left over from other projects. From cutting the pieces and attaching everything together, this project takes less than an hour to complete. The step stool is very sturdy for both indoor and outdoor use. Now my daughter could easily reach for those apples and doesn’t need to call her older brother for help. Check out my other projects at TheDIYPlan.

What could be easier and more functional.

Next step up would be to use through mortise and tenons, but that is because I have the tools to do that fairly easily.
