A redwood gate with matching posts. The hardest part about this job was removing the previous 4×4s from the brick pillars. Total of 4 concrete anchors buried under paint and caulk had to be removed. To secure the new posts to the brick I used 4 inch tapcon anchors. The gate is stained with red oak from Minwax and sealed with 3 coats marine spar urethane.

I like your gate, beautiful for that spot! Question, I don’t see any cross bracing, or am i missing something.

Petey- the gate is very light and also pretty small. I did ask the customer about cross bracing and she declined because she didn’t like the look.
