I have a problem with swollen feet and legs, my cardiologist after putting me on

a heavy dose of water pills suggested that I try sleeping with my legs elevated

above my heart while I sleep with a store bought pillow like photo four but that would not work if my feet

fell off this small pillow while I was asleep I would not know it till I woke up

So I came up with own idea. I built this wedge that fit

between the box spring and the mattress, it is 24 X 48 and 9 inches high.

Its as wide as the bed so I don’t fall off when I sleep. I have been using it for about a

week and I already see an improvement.

well if I can get a good looker like that I am building one too! tee hee

Anyway on a more serious note when I was in the ARMY and roughing it under my Hoochie, I always put my field pack under my knees and slept well Just about anywhere so there has got to be some benefit in it that’s for sure. ....Never attracted any maidens though!

I agree with sleeping with your legs up like that. I have a really bad back and it helps a lot.

I bought an adjustable bed a year ago and in heaven sleeping.

If you are not already wearing them, get compression socks that go to your knees. I know, Dork City, but if raising your feet helped you ain’t seen nothing yet. Your lower legs getting squeezed 24/7 and you will be showing your new ankles off.

Yes the adjustable frames are like magic for many ills. I’ve been sleeping in a spoon for several years, my bed is like a huge recliner, feet up, head up, back pain all gone, and ankles like when I was a kid. :-)

We had wedge mattresses just like that when I was a kid in the fifties and the adults would use them on head and foot end of the mattress and now I am at the age of seventy where I think I need need them .
