I’m posting this more as an archive for my work than an actual project.
An oak barrel head that my brother asked me to personalize for him.
Just plain ‘ol pyrography was not enough of an effect, so I hand carved the name deeper, along with carving the grapes, and finished with burning effects for shadow and depth.
This was a kind of nostalgic return to hand carving. I hadn’t done any for decades.
Thanks for looking!
