Making a bread cutting board.
There is a room under the cutting area to catch the breadcrumps.

It’s made by first making a 2cm flat bottom, then making a 4cm high edge around it. The edge on the short edge is endgrain, so the bottom and the edge should expand equal with changes in moist.
At last I made the cutting part from
1.5cm strips.

Made from beech and a couple of walnut sticks for color.
Finished with Liberon finishing oil.

A friend of ours has one like this. I have had several requests to make some. Your look great! I like the contrasting strips to add some color and the finger reliefs on the side.
