Project Information

It's become a habit of mine to make candy dispensers for people who are retiring from our department at work. This may be the last one I make since I have went from being the new guy to senior grumpy old fart…lol. Only took 31 years…Everything is repurposed cedar except the dowel pin and naturally the jar. finished with Minwax Helmsman satin polyurethane

Another fine job by BusterB! That sure is beautiful wood. I hope to someday try working with it, but looking at the lathe picture it sure looks dusty. Great job, buddy.

Tony- thank you sir. Doesn't take long at all to get over the cedar smell…lol

Jeff- thank you buddy. It's generates a lot of dust when sanding it…turns you, your tools and your shop reddish-pink…which really isn't a good look for me at all..lol

It has a cool look to it. Somehow I feel these candy machines look best with red in it. Maybe seeing so many red ones as a kid. I like your label too. Better make yourself one and have it ready for when you retire. LOL

Dave- thank you buddy. Hadn't thought about the classic red candy machines but I see you point. If all goes well I can make myself one in 6 years or so… hopefully…lol
