Like a bad penny, I keep turning up…lol A while back my daughter was admiring some peels that her favorite pizza place in Charlotte had hanging on the wall. I uttered the infamous words that had doomed many a woodworker…”I think I can make that”...lol. walnut, cherry and maple strips that are about 3/8ths thick. Overall it’s 28” with the main body being 16” wide and 18” long. Coated in cutting board oil. Missed yall!!!

Nicely done Buster. I really like how you used contrasting wood.

Another fine job by BusterB!! Damn, I’ve been waiting to get that one out for a long time. That, sir, is one fine looking peel. The two lighter colored strips either side of center (I assume Maple?) have a fantastic grain. I think there are few things more enjoyable than oiling a finished product. Great job, buddy.

Ken- thank you sir. Awesome outfeed table btw!!!

L2L- thank you sir!! The maple and cherry were a tad bit closer in color than I would have liked but I think it turned out ok.

Jeff- Thank you buddy. Correct on the maple being closer to the center. Well played sir. I wholeheartedly agree on the running oil into wood comment!!!

Tony- thank you again. Hopefully someday I can get my peels up to the level of yours, not going to happen but I can dream right…lol

Dave- thank you sir. It’s good to be building again. Almost too good…got multiple projects running at the moment. I could have used your guidance the other day when I turning some cedar to make some push/pull knobs for one of them. A super Dave turner I am not…lol

Nice job with the peel. I had made one a while back, but with a longer handle.
