Hi all, been some time since I last posted and this seemed like a good project to put up. This mens valet/ charging station has a dovetailed zebrawood/ mahogany carcass, and the two stash cubbies are made from a glue-up that was sitting around for a while. I bisected the glue-pu and mortise and tenoned them to the mahogany pieces that are the hinges. (they have brass pins on both ends. The two glue-ups are zebrawood, mahogany, sassafras, teak, & purple heart with ebony handle accents. Lots of varnish finished it off. Black flocked interior. Needs a buffing in a few weeks.
Thanks for looking
Rob

Im sorta at a loss as to what adjectives to use here for compliments, other than to say I really like this box. Especially like the sculpted parts for the phone stand, the lid handles, the protruding dowels in the lids, and of course the variety of woods used in the lids. Havent seen anything quite like it!

Certainly worthy of a dt3
