Been having some fun building some thing just a little bit different, and on my last try two Triceratops came into being.
The first one I went by the plans and the second I went off just a little bit and man it really showed me how much work David Wakefield put into each of his plans.
To get the movement of his creations just right is no easy task!!!
He has some of his projects on the site so check them out for sure.
These were made with birch and finished with danish oil.

Awesome. Is this a Kids, Grandkids kind of motivation? I can see kids of all ages fooling around with Mr. Triceratops.

Those look great! It is tricky to get the motion right. I found that I made my holes fit too nicely – sloppy is better.

I’ve got his book and Christmas is coming. Need to figure out which one(s) I’m going to build. I might do two of the same design like you did…
