Mushrooms for spring craft shows … these were turned from branches from a downed maple tree.

Nice, they can be addictive:) think I have made way too many! That Maple with the heart wood worked perfectly!
Tried to make some from treated 4” x 4” post but they cracked really bad?

I like these. Was the wood pretty dry when you turned it? Just wondering if you did anything to dry them?

Didn’t do anything special. The tree came down in 2016 … back then, I cut the branches into 12” to 16” billets, sealed them with PVA drywall primer, and stacked them in my storage room.
