Christmas corner shelves

Anybody ever see one of these before? They are in the general shape of a Christmas tree, go into a corner and people decorate them with garland etc and put on the shelves scenes of people in a town in winter, including what I would assume is dolls and doll house furniture.
A young lady put an ad with a pic from a catalog and asked if anybody could make one and I said I could.
I wanted to make it collapsable, so I put hinges on the back and all they have to do is remove the screws from the shelves.
This ended up being alot more work than I bargained for. The biggest problem was accurately scribing the arcs for the shelves, sanding the edges flat and smooth so the edge banding could be ironed on.
Baltic birch plywood, sanded on both sides. 6’ high and the base is 30” wide.
Anyway, I made a few bucks and the neighbor lady is thrilled.

Yes sir, the simple looking projects aren’t as easy as one might think st first glance.
Saying that, nicely done plus a happy customer is always winner.

Fine job Ray. I like the idea of the hinges for folding and storage. Looks like you have a happy customer.

very cool! I like the idea for the fold too. Do the shelves just slide out or did you do something for them to fold up inside too?
